Under general supervision and according to established procedures; installs, inspects, replaces, tests, and performs a wide variety of plumbing tasks to maintain the supply and integrity of the natural gas, steam, water, sanitary and medical gas distribution systems and equipment throughout the Hospital facilities. In doing so, studies blueprints to determine kind and size of pipes to use, cuts pipes along layout markings, and fits and seals valves and other pipe parts. Runs and tests water lines and inspects all connections for leaks and maintains logbook for repairs and readings. Performs minor H.V.A.C., and or Mechanical tasks as required, when related to standard plumbing duties.
