Per Diem Pharmacy Technician Certified

Overview

A Certified "Registered" Pharmacy Technician under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the various activities of the pharmacy department which may or may not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. Such duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining patient profiles; setting up, packaging, and labeling medication doses; filling and dispensing routine orders for stock supplies of patient care areas; maintaining inventories of drug supplies; and mixing drugs with parenteral fluids. Technicians function in strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines, any deviation from which must be approved by the supervising pharmacist.

Qualifications

Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and be able to demonstrate computer applications proficiency and an aptitude for mathematics.
Experience: Preferred Minimum of 2 years Experience working in a clinical environment.
Education Required: High school graduate, or equivalent program.
Licensure Certifications or Registration: Required Must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and have a current license as a "Registered Pharmacy Technician" with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy.
