North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG) is an affiliate of Salem Hospital, a member of Mass General Brigham. We are the largest multi-specialty group north of Boston, with more than 350 board-certified physicians, nurse practitioner and other health care professionals in 27 locations throughout the North Shore.
The Physician Liaison/Recruiter (PLR) reports directly to the Director of Physician Services of NSPG and serves as an integral member of the NSPG Physician Recruiting Team helping to spread the overall vision, culture, and strategic goals of NSPG. The PLR will serve as a liaison and advocate between the physicians of NSPG, health system administrators, and physician candidates and must excel at exercising discretion and independent judgement on behalf of the NSPG Physician Recruiting Team. The position also includes, but is not limited to, developing an internal recruitment framework to source and identify specific candidates for open physician positions, and will have direct responsibility to find qualified candidates through strategic sourcing and screening.
In addition, the PLR will assist in physician recruitment planning, be the point person for managing the applicant tracking systemg, ensuring successful recruitment and arrangement of all on-site physician candidate visits including detailed itineraries that provide appropriate site visits, lodging accommodations and contact information. The PLR will also have the resposibility for effectively managing and processing expenses for Physician Recruiting. The PLR will work closely with Senior Leadership, the recruitment team and administration to maintain, prepare and analyze all physician recrtuiment data.
The position will also require assisting with the promotion of NSPG practices to physician specialties affiliated with NSMC/Partners Healthcare, enhancing communication with physicians to improve the physician, staff and patient satisfaction with NSPG. The PLR will use a proactive and detailed approach to problem solving and maintain the ability to drive physician recruitment initiatives and build partnerships across functions and throughout the organization. Additionally, the PLR will establish and build trusted relationships across the NSPG sites and with key leaders throughout the organization and assist with providing a polished communication framework to inform and influence, serving as an extension of the NSPG Physician Recruitment Team in staying connected to key physician recruitment initiatives across the organization.

Required: Bachelor’s degree
Required: Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, knowledge of marketing principles, ability to balance physician and hospital needs while remaining poised and assertive; knowledge of physician practices. Must project a professional image. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with physicians and staff of various levels throughout the organization. Develop an internal recruitment program to source potential candidates. Recruit candidates by reviewing their resumes and qualifications. Select qualified candidates to be interviewed after ensuring the candidates qualifications and skills meet the requirments for the job opening. Develop relationships with residency and fellowship programs, directors and the residents and fellows to source candidates for newly posted positions. Participate in the evaluation of physician manpower needs within NSPG. Working with administrative and physician leaders; participate in the active recruitment process within the system. Understanding of Employment Laws and ability to work closely with Human Resources representatives once employment offer is signed.
Preferred: Background in physician or employee recruiting or sales.
Required: Experience working in health care with direct interaction with physicians and other providers.
Preferred: Experience in marketing or public relations.
