Senior Financial Analyst - North Shore Physicians Group



Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation and presentation of a variety of analysis. The scope of the analysis includes operational and capital budgeting, business planning, provider compensation modeling, and financial reporting. In the course of their duties, the Senior Financial Analyst will support the Newton Wellesley Medical Group and the North Shore Physicians Group CFOs, Executive Directors of Finance, Practice Administrative Directors and managers, and Senior Leadership. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independantly to complete regular and ad-hoc assignments.

Job-Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans with leadership input including comprehensive analysis and presentations for new strategic initiatives and service lines.
  • Review current performance metrics to identify any potential operational or financial issues.
  • Provide analytical support to the managers regarding analysis of practice specific performance and initiatives including metrics, statistics and financial variances.
  • Implement, support, and maintain provider compensation modeling and dashboards
  • Key contributor in the coordination, development and presentation of the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Review and analyze key contracts and purchase service agreements to provide recommendations to leadership and maintain any necessary reconciliations.
  • Track and analyze monthly revenue and statistics results.
  • Assist in other management and budget assignments as assigned



Skills: Excellent analytical skills with apropriate attention to detail. Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to synthesize for leadership discussions. Advanced Excel and Access skills are required. PeopleSoft, Tableau and Hyperion software experience highly desirable. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Experience: 5 years of work experience in financial setting, preferable in health care.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred)
